I can’t tell if it’s the quality of the movie or just the makeup. (Except for…I dunno…the comic?) I think his wings are cardboard. I guess there weren’t past costumes to go on. This was the first time Hawkman was put in a Live-action movie. It was so hard to take my eyes off of it. I want to talk about the costumes that stood out the most. (I need a section dedicated to this for reasons you’ll see.) However, thank the gods, there is a running plot. I feel like it’s more of a kid’s move than to be dissected by me, nearly 41 years later. Some actors and actress gave it their all, others…not so much. It carries the same humor of Adam West Batman. It isn’t as bad as people made it out to be. I mean it is a piece of DC history and if your into collecting then maybe. Was it worth 13 USD? After seeing other shows made in 1979, no. Classic Adam West and Burt Ward Batman and Robin. It’s not the greatest thing in the world but it has it’s moments. All I can say is this does not reach quality of other shows. (96 minutes in total)įirst and foremost, I didn’t feel I could equally judge this without seeing other shows from the 70s. The runtime is approximately 48 minutes for both parts. This is a two part episode that aired on January 18 1979 and the final episode was aired January 25 1979. I’ve only recently sorted through screencaps and parts of the review I typed. I lost the notes I took on the movie and refused to watch it again.
Now I ,nearly three months out, finally post this review. I had planned on writing this about a week after I finished the movie.
